We know that choosing a child care center is one of the most important decisions parents make. Our goal is to provide an affordable, quality child care center that facilitates the development of the whole child - social, intellectual, emotional, and physical - in a safe, fun, educational, and nurturing environment.

Oak Leaf Learning Center opened in October of 2000. Dennis Neumann is the owner and has about 20 years of child care experience. He was a teacher before working in the medical field for many years. Before building Oak Leaf Learning Center he owned and operated a child care facility in Garland for almost 12 years. Dennis envisioned building an exceptional child care center that was state-of-the-art as far as technology, had outstanding custom playground equipment on over an acre playground, and indoors provided a vast array of opportunities for education and fun. We feel that dream was achieved.

Melissa Ables is the director of Oak Leaf Learning Center. Besides having over 10 years experience in child care and having her CDA (director’s license), Melissa is married and has two children. Melissa has also taught pre-K and worked with school age children.

Our well-rounded curriculums incorporate activities in all of the important developmental areas that benefit children throughout their early childhood education and elementary school years.

Oak Leaf Learning Center hires experienced teachers and staff with expertise and dedication to the children. Our teachers create a caring and nurturing environment allowing the children to blossom and form a positive self-image. All staff undergo a criminal background check at the time of hire. Once hired each child care staff member is required to complete additional training hours each year.
